La démarche artistique de LEB est entièrement axée sur l'humain dans sa simplicité et sa profondeur, que ce soit dans sa solitude ou dans ses rapports interpersonnels et environnementaux. L’artiste est toujours à la recherche de ce qui définit les personnes fondamentalement: les sujets sont souvent des gens qui ne posent pas, mis à nus par leur inconscience d'eux-même, soit, par exemple, en vaquant à leurs occupations ou dans l'attente solitaire des transports en commun. Sur cette base, la construction fait également partie de sa recherche sculpturale par l'étude des formes plastiques inspirées des rapports humain, de l'interdépendance et du soutien mutuel. Elle ne cherche pas à créer une image idéale ou à reproduire littéralement ce qu'elle voit, mais bien à gratter derrière l'esthétisme pour y trouver une certaine forme de vérité, selon sa propre sensibilité.
Bien que chacun de ses travaux soit soigneusement préparé, son approche picturale spontanée lui permet de toucher humblement à cette vérité en mettant de l'avant sa perception primaire des formes, comme lorsque l'on jette un premier coup d’œil à quelqu'un, mais tout en s'intéressant surtout à ce qui se cache derrière par les expressions ou le langage corporel, comme on prendrait un polaroid de l'intérieur.
Dans l'univers coloré de LEB, chaque personne est à la fois au centre du monde et le maillon d'un fragile équilibre avec ses semblables et ce qui l'entoure.
LEB is a painter, sculptor and engraver. The multidisciplinary approach is at the heart of her identity and her expressive needs. Each medium opens the door to a different angle of the same object.
LEB's artistic approach is entirely focused on the human in either his simplicity and his depth, whether in solitude or in his interpersonal and environmental links. The artist is always in search of what defines people fundamentally: the subjects are often people who do not pose, laid bare by their unawareness of themselves or, for example, by attending their business or in their solitary waiting for public transport. On this basis, the construction is also part of her sculptural research by the study of the plastic forms inspired by human relationships, interdependence and mutual support. She does not try to create an ideal image or reproducing literaly what she sees, but scratch behind the aesthetics to find some form of truth, according to her own sensibility.
While each work is carefully prepared, her spontaneous pictorial approach allows her to humbly touch this truth by putting forward her primary perception of shapes, like when you throw a first glance to someone but while focusing especially at what is behind by the expressions or body language, as if we would take a Polaroid from inside.
In the colorful world of LEB, each person is both the center of the world and an element of a delicate balance with other human beings and their surroundings.
